I can't speak of it durability but it seems pretty solid. For ordinary weeds and clumps of random grass is is remarkably effective. I'm not a gardener but I enjoyed using it. The twisting motion will wind up both the roots and the leaves very effectively - removing a small plug of soil (with the roots in) as it does it. It is particularly good with large flat weeds that are often very difficult to pull up. So long as you get the centre it is fantastically good with clumps of wild grass - winding up the long blades and shoots as you twist. I collected a bucketful of weeds with roots in about twenty minutes. Far more effective and far easier than doing it by hand. You do need to to position the three prongs properly so that they straddle the main stem and root but get that right and seems to work every time. The plunger works well to - although you will get the occasional one that sticks a bit and you have to clear mud of the prongs occasionally if the soil is damp.Not a tool for rough clearance (it won't get brambles up!) but in a normal garden for normal weeds it is very effective. I put it together without looking at the instructions and I'm no mechanical genius.
