    This appears to be a very solid bike stand. Only used it once so far, so can’t comment on longevity, but the main supporting poles are large and very solid. The clamps are plastic with metal nuts and bolts. They’re chunky, so if you are careful you don’t over-tighten, and assuming the plastic doesn’t biodegrade, they should last.The frame on my bike is triangular, and the main clamp to hold the bike is diamond shaped, so there was some play in the bike movement when clamped in place, but it was still much better than flipping the bike into its handlebars and seat and trying to work on everything upside down. Makes maintenance much easier, and I’ve now sorted the gears in my son’s bike properly at last!
