This fan came as one of those fun assemble yourself challenges. Easy enough to figure out, but a couple of bits could slip when you were tightening and sit slightly out of alignment. This happened to me at first, and I ended up with a fan that worked but made a dreadful humming noise. Once I figured out the problem, it was much quieter in operation and worked well.My biggest issue? I bought this fan specifically because it said it had a 1.8m lead, but IT IS ONLY 1.2m. Quite a difference, and means I have an annoying lead strung 6 inches above the ground as a trip hazard, so I have to unplug it whenever it is not in use. I contacted the seller to suggest they should amend their product details as wildly inaccurate, and they just sent me a returns label. That’s not the point, returning it would not help the next poor sod who spent time assembling a fan to find it wasn’t as described and might therefore be completely useless to them.
