    It kept me cooler at night during those August heatwaves so I guess it did the job. It does make clicking noises when rotates though, which can be a pain, especially at night, but my boyfriend found an easy fix for this and tied a belt around the whole thing. It somewhat made the clicking much quieter. And I have to say, that plate that goes in the middle of the mesh is kinda pointless and feels like it would make less air blow straight at you, so I just didn't put it on.
